Inge’s revised version of his 1953 Pulitzer-prize winning play Picnic. On a sultry Labor Day weekend, a mysterious drifter’s animal vitality stirs up emotions in the women of a small Kansas town. Few writers have captured the complex relationships between women as well as Inge.
